The introduction, background information, the relationship and focus of the spiritual, mental, emotional and physical aspects, and general guidelines for a spiritual, mental, emotional and physical practice are addressed in the topic, "Creativity maintenance common sections for the spiritual, mental, emotional and physical aspects of being." This topic should be read first, if not done so, before proceeding.

Creativity maintenance relative to the physical aspect of our being

As stated in the topic, "Creativity maintenance common sections for the spiritual, mental, emotional and physical aspects of being," relative to manifesting a desire as seen in the creative process the existing form is in some way or another must dissolve or be sacrificed to release the energy to flow into the new creation. The dissolution of the existing form starts with the release of our attachments reflected in the mental aspect of what we think and believe. This releases is experienced physically as some type and kind of death or separation. We see and experience some things moving into and out of our life. The more we resist the change, the greater the discomfort, if not pain, we will experience.

The physical aspect of being is about what we actually have and are manifesting. It is about what we actually nonconsciously or consciously desire to manifest. Here we need to look at what we are experiencing and look to see if we are being served relative to several things. One is are we serving the intention for our life. That is we are having experience in life that are allowing is experience a fullness of being, and inner satisfaction which never runs dry, wonderment and "Ah," an expansion of being and the like. A second is are we being served such that the physical live we are living allows us to create what we desire, whatever we desire. Although what we desire may be in conflict with the intention for our life, we have a free will to create whatever we wish. If the two are in conflict, we need to look to see if we can or have resolved the differences between the intention for our life and what our mind wants to create.

Here we need to look at what we are experiencing and look for several things and then pull the string each. The first thing at which we need to look and realize is that there are things we do which are required for us to live and exist in Physical Creation and have the experience of a human being. As a physical maintenance exercise we need to try and separate out what we do to live life and remain alive and that which we do that is not part of staying alive. That is we do it only because we think we need to do it. The goal is to minimize the distraction which we do that does not either support staying alive and manifest what we desire. We need to minimize the distraction in life and create a single point focus for what we desire to create.

We can look at any experience we have as having two parts. One part is which creates the physical experience and the other is that which creates the physical experience we desire to have. The part which creates the physical experience is common to all of within the shared creation. The part which creates the experience we desire to have is unique to us. We need to look at each part of the experience and how much we do create the physical experience we have. We need to look at how we do fulfill what we desire. Where this is most applicable is to what we do in life. The goal would be to do in life a job that we love to do as opposed to doing a job which we do to "make a living" and where we use our non job time to do what we love.

Relative to the maintenance of our physical being, from a creativity perspective, the body is a creativity machine and is a vehicle for a physical experience. In particular, it is for a particular type and kind of physical experience which we call the human experience. The body does two primary things for us. One is that it grounds or direction our creative life energy into the physical experience. It hold us accountable to the rules of Physical Creation The second is that it allows us to take the energy we sense and the thought which arise from that energy and transform or convert it into actions in the world. We need to look at what we are experiencing to see if we are capturing the thoughts which serves us and help us to create a life worth living.

As a physical maintenance practice, look at the activities that are done in life which serve us and are fulfilling and those which are not. For those that do not serve us can we change what we do to something which better serves us. If we can’t change them we can go into our creative imagination and (1) explore options that may be possible if conditions were to change and (2) imagine various scenarios as to how to escape what we feel we cannot change. As we explore options, we will begin to see possibilities we had never previously thought about.

Our problem as a result of how the physical body works is it helps to create a victim consciousness in two ways. The first way our body creates a victim consciousness is that our consciousness incarnated into a body required us all to learn to feel the body. We need to learn as to what causes our body to feel what is does what causes our pain, when it is hunger and what tires it out. We need to become intimate with the body.

Any pain we experience is our pain. No one can share our pain the way we feel. No matter how supporting and loving our care givers may have been, the fact is that they could not and cannot remove our pain. Although we many not want to feel pain, feel hunger or feel tired, our consciousness seems to have little control over the body. We seem controlled by our body and its pain. As a minimum, we can expect that most of us feel somewhat controlled and dominated by the needs of our bodies when we have the experience where its needs are not met. We tend to identify ourselves with our bodies. Many of us come to feel and think we are our bodies because the needs of the body and the experiences of the body so dominate our early life. Because so much of what the body needs is external to us, we come to think and believe we are controlled by the external world and we are a victim of the external world.

The fact that we are susceptible to feeling pain, pain has been used by many individual to control others. They control us by causing us to experience pain at some level of our being to control one or more aspects of our being. It is only natural to feel we are a victim held captive by the body. Many spiritual traditions seek to transcend the body and the body is seen as somehow less than that which is spiritual. The body is seen as holding us back from our true identity. It is quite natural for us to develop defense mechanisms or methods of protecting ourselves from pain and/or perceive pain or painful conditions.

The second way our body helps create a victim consciousness is that to fully use the body as the creative tool that it is, we must learn how to use it. We each need to be given a safe space to be allowed to experience the range of what is possible in and with the body and become intimate with the body. But each society, family and social structure has its way of allowing the body to be used or not used. As such, there are aspects of our creative power and creative ability we never tap into simply because we have never been given the safe space to experience what our body can do, experiment with how and what it senses and how it response to what it senses to convert it into creative action. Here again, by not experiencing the full range of creative power and ability to us, we become the victim of situations in which we could otherwise creatively respond.

Look to see where we feel physical pain in life. Pull the string as to why. Become aware of the mind body connection and how we are choosing to live in a way that may not be serving our body.

Physical exercise and diet: Our body is of the physical plane and a vehicle for the physical experience. As a physical vehicle it has certain physical needs. We need to ensure that we keep it exercised so it’s muscles remain reasonably strong and we give it the proper food and nourishment. The type of exercise which is appropriate depends on our life style and what we plan on doing with the body. As a minimum we must have some type of exercise program to at least maintain healthy muscles and cardiovascular system. As for diet, we need to ensure an adequate diet for what we do and there are many good book on the subject. The Password Protected Area email discussion topic, "Food and dieting" discusses some considerations about diet.

As a physical maintenance practice, develop an exercise program performed routinely every few days to maintain and exercise as many aspects of the body as possible. The goal is not to build enormous strength. Rather, the goal is to maintain a good overall cardiovascular system and muscle tone.

Look to create a balanced diet and a diet which allows you to feel energized by what you eat. Become aware of how you feel after you eat and what you eat. Everyone is slightly different and you will need to give yourself permission to do your own experiments to see what ultimately works for you. You can use the wisdom and lessons learned of others but you still need to see what works for you.
