Creating a gentle phoenix and our inherent creativity

The most creative state of being - that is, the most powerful state of been in which the seeds and foundation for creating our experiences are laid - is characterized by spontaneous and innocent childlike play of discovery and exploration of ourselves and our world coupled with a calmness and relaxation within our being. In that state, any thought, idea or the like that is injected in that calmness will take root. That thought, idea or the like inserted then grows like a seed guiding our action to pull from the unseen the experiences we desire have to have and unfold a life or a set of experiences based on that thought/idea.

The deeper the calmness and relaxation, the greater the thought takes root. The greater the breadth of calmness and relaxation cutting across our spiritual, mental, emotional and physical being, the greater the thought takes root. The greater the depth and breadth of playfulness the greater the thought takes root.

If we are in a state of spontaneous and innocent childlike play at each and every level of our being, spiritually, mentally, emotionally and physically, and couple that childlike play in a relaxed and calm state of being spiritually, mentally, emotionally and physically, then interject an idea or thought, one’s whole world will shift to manifest that thought. In essence a seed is planted to recreate one’s life. It is such a phenomenon which occurred which give rise to the whole understanding as to possibility of creating a gentle phoenix. This is why childhood and childlike play are so important from a creativity perspective and things like meditation, hypnosis and the like are such powerful creative tools. It is also why the experiences we had and the programming we received in childhood are such powerful influences in our later life. Quite simply, thoughts are inserted when we are in a calm and/or playful state.

Because of the creative power in this state is why it is so beneficial to regain the ability to enter such a state of being. It only makes sense that if we desire to create a gentle phoenix in our life it is beneficial to use the most create state we can. However, in addition to accessing the most creative state it also makes sense to enter the most creative state with our optimum creative power. The intention for our life is the source of our creative power in our life. The intention for our life is what brought us into life and that life brings within it the creative power to create the experiences our creative sprit desired to have.

We know and can access this creative power through the intention for our life. We know the intention for our life through a deep feeling within our being. We also tend to become aware of this feeling when we become a creator. In particular, when we are creating life or recreating our life. The reason for this is the intention for our life is related to creating our life. Intention for our life, the business of our life, the dream within the heart is about feeling and creating. In particular, it is about creating a life. It is about creating the way we live in the world and what we do in the world. The more our creative activities move toward consciously creating or recreating life, our life or the life of another, the more we become aware of the feeling which contains the awareness of what we incarnated to do. The recommendation is to purse creative activities that are directed to creating or recreating the life we live and become very mindful and aware of what we feel in doing such creative activities.

But our creative activities need not be about creating life to become aware of the feeling that arises from the intention for our life. Any significant creative endeavor can do so. It is just that creative endeavors involved with creating or recreating a life does so more quickly. In this regard, there is a wisdom and understanding within each of us that is only accessible and comes out in our creativity

In creating we begin to access the wisdom of the creator/Creator. The more we create something unique to ourselves and the experiences we personally we have had in life, the more we access and integrate the truth of our being as a creator. We move toward access our inherent creativity. The deeper, broader and more expansive the creative endeavor the more we move to accessing our unlimited creativity. The more our creative endeavor can impact the expansiveness of the planet if not Creation, the closer we come to infinity of our own being and our creativity. This last statement is of course too much to be believed by our finite human mind. But such an understand can be gain through our infinite nonconscious mind as an individualized point of consciousness.

We need to understand that it is in our creative activities that we can begin to talk to the creator/Creator in a one to one relationship creator to creator/Creator. It is a dialog with our inner self and the infinite nonconsciousness that arises and is one with the consciousness within, or behind, Creation. A chemist or a physician talks differently to another chemist or physician than a lay person. In our creative activities we can begin to talk to the creator/Creator in a one to one relationship creator to creator/Creator. Quite powerful insights are gained in this dialog and we also begin to better understand the language and symbols of our inner world and and how our intuitive guidance really works.

One way we access our deeper levels of creativity and begin a communication with the creator/Creator is to create rituals, ceremonies and meta-theaters and the like to express in symbolic or poetic terms what we desire to express and communicate. Doing so can serve as an initiation to get in touch with our deep feelings by providing a way to express them and in doing so, access the energy at the deepest levels of being. Of course, there then needs to be an awareness and understanding of what do to with the feelings that are accessed and how to direct them. On this point, the understanding as to how to direct what we access need to be before hand or what is accessible in rituals will not be understood or properly utilized. Hence the suggestion in the topic "Stepping out of the mind and ego through the mind" to create something that our mind thinks is impossible but in creating it we sever other and have little to gain from what we do.

What needs to be understood here is we are not talking about communicating with any particular God or concept of God. We are talking about the creator of our life and what it desires us to do. That creator/Creator could be what we call God, it could be some other entity other than what we would call God, or it could simply be an aspect of ourselves to which we never introduced ourselves. The issue of exactly how or what this creator/Creator is to whom we talk is left open. It is for you to contact and decide who and what it is. All that we need to do is to hold our creativity sacred and see how or in what way we need be that allows us to honor their/Their creation as we are. We need to remember to deny any aspect of our being or our creative power denies the creator/Creator of our life and it just be a way we deny the very God we attempt to contact for Its help.

From a creativity perspective, what has been observed is that our concept of God, our concepts and understanding about sexuality, pain, and fear, in particular, fear of pain, seem to be the greatest obstacles in preventing one from seeing and experiencing the depth and breadth of their true creative power and ability that is available to them. It has been observed that each will have to explore and understand to some extent: (1) the creative power inherent in sexuality, in particular, our own sexuality, (2) how sexuality does and doesn’t function in our life, (3) whether or not we have given our creative power away to some misconception about God, (4) if we have claim all that the creator/Creator has given us regardless of how we view the creator/Creator, and (5) how our fear of pain and suffering has bias our thinking and held our creativity captive.

But out of all that needs to be faced to access the depth and breadth of our creative power and creative ability, sexuality has been observed to be the greatest obstacle. Yet, it is not the sex itself. It is mind's opinions, judgments and desires that stand in the way. Consequently, we need to directly and physically explore sexuality must less than one would think. In fact, to think one needs to physically explore sexuality to understand it or to find freedom is often based on what mind wants and desires more than it is required to access our creative power and creative ability.

More often than not, those who think they need to explore sexuality such that then enter a spiritual practice like Tantra or related philosophy find that in the end, what they seek is not in the techniques or freedom of being sexual found in those traditions. It is not about sexual freedom but freedom from what mind thinks about sexuality that is important and the ability to be freely intimate with the body to use the awareness in the body. In learning and understanding this one can learn to use sexuality in an energetically clean way as opposed to the more contaminating way.

In any case whatever we choose to create should be something unique to ourselves. It is not about creating something others will necessarily accept, creating something useful and practical, or something that can be marketed. It is about simply creating from the truth of our being. It is about simply allowing the depth and breadth of our creative ability and creative power to come forth and bring something new into the world..

There is a wisdom and understanding within each of us that is only accessible and comes out in our creativity. But we have to create and be truly creative for it to come out. But we have to create from the perspective of our truth and not what we have been programmed to believe. Most importantly, what we create must come from within ourselves and not come from another or copied from another. That is, it must be truly original. This is the sticking point for all of us. It must be something no other has yet done. It must be unique to ourselves and not based on our enculturated baggage and programming we have in our mind about what is appropriate and not appropriate to create, acceptable and not acceptable to the world, successful or not successful in the eyes of the world.

But to create from this level of being in this way raises the issue of how and why we shut our creativity down both as a child and as an adult. It is here the past takes control and most never allow their creative spirit to express itself such that this wisdom and understanding also come out. Rather, this wisdom and understanding remains locked with the pain, fears, embarrassments and the like of the past. Exactly what needs to be done to let it out is different for each of us. In this regard, we each have a unique path to follow. If we don’t follow our own unique path, we will never access this wisdom and understanding that is available to us.

It is when we create something that comes from the depth of our being and we don’t care what anyone thinks about what we create that this creative spirit begins to become awakened. But to awaken that spirit at this depth of being, this creative spirit also awakens to the memories of how and why it became afraid to come out and express itself. The memories within this creative spirit then stand in the way of the wisdom and understanding within each of us from being released in the world.

As we grew up in this world, we learned to compromise our truth. We all learn to compromise our truth in basically the same way and is a process we follow. In essence, we are taught to put our creative spirit in a cage of our own making. Along with the power and ability to create, this creative spirit brings a wisdom and an understanding. It too has been put in this cage. This wisdom and understanding only comes out when we create and the wisdom and understanding lie on the other side of our creativity. That is, it is as thought the wisdom and understanding lie on the other side of the creative endeavor. We must first create what needs to be created then the wisdom and understanding reveal themselves. If we don’t create what needs to be created, the wisdom and understanding do not reveal themselves. It is why so many "artistic" types seem crazy and driven to create. It is only in creating that which is inside is released. The question is, "What must we create for the wisdom and understanding to be released?" The answer is, "Whatever it is, is unique to us and only we can feel it." The issue we face is to not become trapped in the creativity and making it the end.

A side note here need to be made about our creativity and what we create stands at the door way to accessing this wisdom and understanding. It is that sexuality is part of our creativity and creative power. If it is thwarted, this wisdom and understanding remain locked. But the same is true for other expression of our creativity whether it be singing, dance or whatever. This is where the spiritual aspects of Tantra and sex arise. There are some individual for whom sexuality is a big part of their creative expression and when it is releases, there is a deep and profound wisdom and understanding. When it is not release, there is pain and the pain can be so intense one is lead to addictions to numb and/or suppose the pain. Hence the use of sex to obtain enlightenment. That is, when the sexuality is appropriated acted upon, the pain is alleviated and there is an awareness and understanding about oneself, Creation and the world we experience. What this occurs, a direct connection between the sex and the wisdom and understanding are revealed. But everyone’s path is not about creative expression through sexuality. For others, sexuality is not part of the creative expression. Rather the sex is a by product and/or a tool in the creative endeavor and/or simply a tool to create life. Here sexuality functions differently. It is not the sex that bring the wisdom and understand but the creation that occurs of which sexuality is part of the overall expression of the creative energy within one’s being and/or the vehicle to create with another.

Another area is where sexuality arises is when the body itself is the vehicle for creative expression and the sexuality is just part of the body being fully expressed. Here, individual who tend to be psychic have their psychic powers enhance and opens in and through the feelings of the body. Hence the feelings that go with sexuality become a very powerful tool in opening an individual to their psychic abilities. This issue is not sex standing at the door but our creativity stands at the door way. It is the correct use of sex as part of, or in, the creative endeavor.

Here again another note need to be made. It has been found that all three of these aspects of sexuality described here (part of a larger creative process, a doorway access a wisdom and understanding, and a door to one’s nonlocalized awareness as reflected in psychic abilities) can be experience depending on the intention for what we wish to create. In these cases the sexuality and role of the sexuality can become quite confusing and it is imperative to stay focused on the feeling of the fullness of being. The issue of sex in creative is not sex or having sex. The issue is understanding how to use it for the intention we hold and realized when not properly used and acted upon it will thwart our creative endeavor. We need to realize the intention we hold is a sum total result of our conscious, subconscious and unconscious intentions. Hence the confusion about the role of sex in spiritual enlightenment, creativity and the opinion of mind as to how it should or shouldn’t be used. Relative to creating a gentle phoenix, we need continually ask our intuitive guidance how we should act on the feelings that arise to create the gentle phoenix we desire. Then honor the guidance we get.

What needs to be understood is what stands in the way of us accessing the truth of our being. The truth of our being is released in our creativity and being our creativity. But our creativity is not the end point. The wisdom and understanding lies beyond the creativity and what we create. Our creativity cannot be the endpoint. Our creativity allows that truth and understanding to be revealed.

The gentle phoenix is about creative play and it is about creating. Creating and playing in such a way we have a gentle phoenix for any transformation required of us. It is about truly creative endeavors. It is not so much about what we create and what our creativity looks like. It is to create until that energy that is driving us to create is dissipated. Then in that dissipation there is a wisdom, an understanding and a clarity.

Sex is only an issue in that it must follow the creativity as much as anything else. That is, if the energy calls us to paint and we deny painting we thwart the flow of energy and keep the wisdom and understanding bottled up. If the energy calls us to be sexual and we deny the sexuality, similarly thwart the flow of energy. It is about holding our creativity sacred however it needs to be expressed and all else malleable. It is about following the creative spirit and the flow of energy until the energy is dissipated. It is about looking to see what we are called to do then finding that safe and secure space to do it. It is not always clear how this understanding translates into a form in any particular individual’s life. But there is a truth in what is stated here. We need to create in our own unique way true to the truth of our being in whatever way that is necessary for that creativity and truth to be express. Do so, will lead us as to how to create a gentle phoenix. We only have to set the intention to have one.
