Clarity of thought The need for clarity of thought Clarity of thought is about learning to understand the power of our intention and desires in our creativity. Inserting a thought into calmness to create what we desire requires clear intention and clarity of thought and the awareness of what is being inserted. Otherwise there is a confusion within our being as to how we will direct our energy. Within the energy consciousness perspective, our creative life energy goes where we focus our attention and awareness to create an experience of that on which we focus. If we lack clarity of thought, that lack of clarity will be reflected in the way we are directing our creative life energy to create our experiences and in the experiences we actually create. Without clarity of thought, we will not have the coherence in the flow of our creative life energy to create what we desire. Rather it will be scattered and fragmented. Here we need to explore our intentions and our desires and pull the string on what we desire to create what we do. We need to become very clear about what we want and why. We need to become aware of the conflicts within our intention and desire for they are scattering the energy we use to create our experiences. When it comes to gaining clarity of thought the greatest clarity we can gain is that what we usually really desire is a particular feeling. Our creative power lies in what we feel. When what we experience is not providing a feeling of satisfaction, we look to create something different. However, whatever it is we need to feel or desire to feel, the thought we have about what it is we desire is only mind’s best characterization of what we think we want to feel. If it understood what we desire to feel it would have already created it. We often go after what we think will satisfy us or make us happy. Yet, when we obtain what we thought would make us happy it fails to do so. Looking to gain clarity of thought The following are some exercises to explore the clarity of our thinking that can be used to help to return to a state of creative play and to opening ourselves to feeling. In doing these exercises we need to become mindful and aware of the thoughts we have about the questions and how we answer them. Also become aware of what we feel. In particularly if any particular body part start to feel different as we read, contemplate and/or answer the questions. There are no right or wrong answers to these exercises. They are only to assist us in gaining clarity on our own thinking. The life we live: On a scale of 1 to 10 (1 being the lowest) "Are you happy with your life and what you are doing in and with your life?" Explain why are or why your are not happy. If you died today and discovered that you will spend the remainder of eternity living the life you are now living, is it a life worth living ? That is, will you, or would you, be happy spending the remainder of eternity living the life you are now living? Again, on a scale of 1 to 10 rate how satisfied you would be living eternally the life your are living. Explain why or why you would not be happy. Do you know what it means to be happy or has it changed from place to place, changed person to person, changed form activity to activity and/or changed with age? Explain. Our observations of the power of intention Is there anything that you have ever intended in your life and eventually received it If you obtained what you intended, what did the process look like to you - was it hard or easy? Describe the process observed. If you did not get what you intended, why do you think you did not get what you intended? Describe why or what you think the problem is/was. If you do not have anyone with whom to share your observations to look to see where there are similarities and differences, look to the topic of the "Creative/creation process" and see if your observations agree or differ. What is your intention for what you wish to create in or with your life? Not necessarily why you are reading this particular material, but what you desire to create with your life. Pull the string on the intention you have Why do you have the intention that you do - what is your motivation? Ask "Why - why this reason and not another?" to five levels Look to see what you are really seeking What does success look like to you? Where did you get this idea of success. Is, your idea of success is different than another’s idea., Why are they different? How do you know that your idea of success is correct? Explain why. Discuss the different between a desire and an intention Intention is having the desire and the passion/energy to act. That is, we are going to make something happen Creative ability and creative power Review and contemplate the topic. "Creative ability and creative power." Consider what is discussed and compare with your understanding of creative ability and creative power. Look to see where they are the same and where they are different. Where they is a disagreement, what is your understanding and how does it different? Is there some personal experience you can offer to support your position? Review and contemplate the topic, "Two views of Creation" Look to see how the two views are related to creative ability and creative power. Contemplate the masculine aspect of creation is the mind - mind thrusts and takes Contemplate the feminine aspect of creation is that heart. The heart, the feminine, nurtures growth and unfoldment. The nest step
