Ways we create
Creating with or
without influence
Three ways
to create
To create is to bring into
existence something not previously seen or experience or something
significantly different from the past. In essence it is to
create something from nothing from a place of “no-thing-ness.”
Two analogies can be used to see how this is possible. One is the a
vibrating string which creates an illusionary form. The second the
pair production phenomenon where energy is converted to mass.
These and other creativity principles can be applied to any aspect
of your life to create what you desire.
Creating
with or without influence (Top)
Creation can be done in two ways.
One is to create is to
create something from nothing to be without the influence of
another creation and the only
influences lie internal to the creator. The second way is under
an influence of an existing creation and is best described as
creating within a creation.
External influence as used here is something perceived external
to one’s being whether it is something actually outside oneself, or
a belief that comes form outside oneself such that something or
someone outside oneself is in control of one’s thoughts. Each of
these methods result in duality for
duality is inherent to the
experience energy consciousness. For any creation, there is always a
creation that is
observed and an observer of that creation. Whether
we experience separation from the whole or experience a oneness and
interconnectedness when we experience
creation/Creation depends on
how we chose to create
our point of observation and perspective when
the choose to become the observer.
Creating without external influence in physical creation is
essentially impossible. For one to create without external influence
is to be isolated. But we are a creation within a creation. To
isolate oneself from what one believes to be external influences is
to create an intense
single point focus of one’s creative powers so
as to not be distracted to manifest what we desire at the exclusion
of everything else. This is the approach behind sitting and
meditating to create a desired condition. However, this method of
focusing on creating without an external influence tends to foster
an experience of separation as opposed to oneness and
interconnectedness. There is an alternative approach and it is to
create an internal
seed condition that can be used to manifest an
external creation in the physical world without causing the illusion
of separation. In essence we grow our creation and surrender to the
creative/creation process and allow it to lead our life. In essence
we become both the creator and the creation.
The effectiveness of this method lies in the fact that we all are an
independent and unique consciousness that can exist in
a universe
unto itself. As we
can each come to see, effectiveness depends on what we wish to
create and how what is created is connected to the external world.
To create without the illusion of separate is to use a
music analogy were each is an independent
musician capable of performing in and with a large orchestra and the
overall sound is the superposition of the sound made by each
instrument.
Creating without any external influence is to create on out own
instrument and in our own style of music. As long as we “keep it to
ourselves” and don’t share our music, or even desire to share it, we
can have all that we desire. If however, we wish to share our music
with another, we are no longer isolated. We will be under the
influence of those with whom we wish to share our music. They will
influence our music and to some degree or another control what our
music sounds like. If we wish to maintain the integrity of what we
have created in isolation yet bring it into the world, we will need
to have a well developed and balanced
ego with a very strong source
of energy experienced a s a deeply held
passion to fuel and
accomplish this feat. However, the easiest way to create with this
method and take something into the world is to create the
seed condition and let your creation unfold much the way a seed unfolds
into a tree.
To create under an external influence is to create within and with
the external conditions we believe exists. In this music analogy
this would be to create music that is both pleasurable to us and the
external world. Excluding the details as to how and why this process
works, the
creative/creation process boils down to three approaches.
Although all creative efforts result in duality we can experience
either wholeness or separation depending on the focus of our
attention and awareness. Creating under an external influence will
always have a tremendous potential that our creation will be
experienced and perceived in separation.
Three ways to create (Top)
The first approach is the most
common way and the way that is taught to most of us. It is to choose
what one desires, or to set and hold a
clear intention. Then act on
what our
mind thinks and believes it needs to do to get and manifest
what it desires. This is the
masculine way to create. It is to thrust our desires into
manifesting. However, because it is a thrusting, it is both the
fastest way to manifest a desire but also has the potentially most
damaging and destructive. It is much like a two edge sword and can
cut both ways. Unless one understands the ego and learns how to
temper the ego, one may get what they want but the collateral damage
to ones environment and the individuals in that environment will be
devastating.
This method of creation is based on what we or others know and have
previously experienced. Since
mind only knows the past and we rely
on mind, we risk creating the past in a new way rather than being
truly creative. Because this approach is based on what we or others
have experienced, it tends to be accompanied by “making
mistakes”
and /or “getting it wrong” for there is the comparison to what was
done in the past. When this approach is taken, there is a right way
and a wrong way to do what we desire.
When this approach is viewed from a
creativity perspective, the
initial perception about this method is that we are creating based
on what
mind thinks and believes about reality. However, this
approach is not based so much on what one thinks and believes but
rather it is based on what one has experienced, whether or not one
believes and/or understands what they have experienced, and/or
remembers what they experience. As one can come to see, mind exists
because of what we have experienced and it is our experiences that
has created our mind as we currently know it. Relaying on mind to
create more often than not keeps us bound in the past.
The second approach to creativity is the least common approach. It
is one that is rarely taught or even sufficiently understood to be
taught. It is based on being totally in what is
symbolized by the
heart and complete surrender to the flow of one’s
creative life energy. This method requires one to be totally “out of mind” and
have a complete trust that the Universe will mold itself to one’s
intention. This is the
feminine way of creating. It is very
nurturing and sustaining and grows the creation much the way embryo
grows within the womb.
Although it is the slower way to manifest a creation, when there is
alignment between our intention and the
intention for our life it is
the most gentlest way possible to create. To use this approach we
simply sets and hold a clear intention. We then surrender to the
flow of energy we create from that intention by what feel. We allow
our feelings to lead us through our
internal compass. We use our
internal compass to lead us to what we intend trusting the universe
will mold itself to our intention.
There is a significant issue with this method and that is the
intention for our life. If we have no conscious desire or intention
and we can rid ourselves of the desires and intentions that have
been programmed or enculturated in us and step
out of mind, we will
be lead by our feelings to manifest the intention for our life. If
however, we hold some conscious or subconscious desire or intention
it will have to compete with the intention for our life for our
creative life energy. Of course if our desire and the intention for
our life are in alignment with each other, we will tend to
experience an internal satisfaction that does not depend on the
outside world. However, if the intention we hold is not in alignment
with the intention for our life, depending on the misalignment, we
will experience a feeling that ranges from a mild discomfort and/or
awkwardness to pain. The pain can be so intense as to make us
believe we have a physical problem of some type for which we seek
medical help. Or we may experience some type of psychological issue
that in the worst case could be a perceived as a sever depression or
some type schizophrenia between our
mind and what we feel.
The third way of creating is through a
dance between heart and mind that is best described as
creating through surrender. In essence, it is a dance between
what we feel as used in the feminine way to create and what we
think. But thinking is not used in the traditional way we use
thinking. It is the most satisfying method for
to be able to walk or
dance requires balance. To use it requires an enormous trust in
one’s understanding of, and about, oneself and more importantly, an
enormous trust in one’s ability to feel and the subsequent use of
feelings through our
intuitive
guidance and body wisdom. He we needs
to choose what we desire to manifest and then step “out of mind” to
act on, and follow, our intuitive guidance and body wisdom. In this method,
we allow the intuitive guidance to lead them and not what our
mind
thinks. Feelings and perceived and discerned through our internal
compass sets the direction for how we needs to act in response to
the clear intention we set. Mind attends to the details to make it
happen the way mind perceives the flow of our
creative life energy
in response to the intention.
In stepping “out of mind” and out of what we think and believe about
how reality works, we do not second guess or judge what the
intuition provides. Rather we simply follows it. In this third
method, there are no
mistakes and there is no right way and a wrong
way to create what we desire. Rather, it is just a process we use to
just explore the unknown to see what works and what doesn’t work.
The key understandings that go with this method of using
intuitive
guidance is that to manifest any desire: 1) the most energetic
aspect of the creative process will arise to be addressed and the
energy dissipated to form the creation and 2) one must allow the
creative life energy of the universe manifesting the intention to
freely flow into the desired form, that is the creation and/or
experience. We need to allow the energy to freely flow out of the
creation/experience. In this regard, anything that can help the free
flow of energy either by releasing the past or preventing
attachments so that we can live and be present in the moment, the
“Now,” will assist the creative process.
This third way of manifesting starts with setting a clear intention.
Then to surrender to our
intuitive
guidance. We need to
honor our
intuitive guidance by acting on what is given as literal as possible
to the best of our ability or symbolically honoring our intuitive
guidance in
ritual or
metatheater. In doing so, we need to trust
that as we act literally on our intuitive insight, a new though or
image will arise to adjust our actions as the energy is allowed to
flow into manifestation or the original intuitive insight will
remain unchanged. If the insight remains unchanged we only needs to
continue to act on that insight allowing the flow to dissipate until
the energy is totally dissipated in a physical manifestation. For
any creation, there is a flow of energy consciousness into form and
then the dissipation of that energy causing the form to dissolve
back into the original starting material. Unless the energy for each
step or phase of the creative process is allowed to fully dissipate
parts of the intermediate steps will remain fixed and the final
creation will be impacted by the energy that has not dissipated.
