We create our reality and create our experiences by how we focus our attention and awareness. We have created our current reality and the awareness we have at some level of our being by how we have focused our attention and awareness through how and what we think and believe. To create a new reality and/or new set of experiences we need to de-focus from our current perspective. We need to change who we think we are and what we have come to believe about ourselves and the nature of reality. The de-focusing process is much liking holding two fingers up in front of our eyes and then allowing our eyes to de-focus such that we see four fingers. When we have de-focused our eyes, we are allowing each eye to see independently for how they are currently seeing. Relative to the view from each eye, it does need to be emphasized that one view is not any better than another, only different. To de-focus our eyes to see four fingers instead of two is not the same a closing each eye successively looking at two fingers. What needs to happen is that the observer, the person looking out needs to de-focus and what one focuses on is less important that how one de-focuses. To de-focus our attention and awareness, the observer needs to look past or beyond the obvious. It is to look past the obvious in a way which can best be described as a letting go and relaxation process to see things as they actually are. The easiest way to do this is to ask to see the why behind what we see and experience. Whether we accept it or not, there is a cause to all that we experience. We only need to ask, "Why?" and then listen to how our nonconscious mind communicates the reason to us. In exploring the "why" we will come to see what is causing the experiences we have. In seeing the cause we can begin to understand how the decisions we have made in the past have helped create our current reality and why it is necessary to become aware of the choices that we make. We will need to pull the string on each and every level of our being. As we utilize this technique and gain more experience with the power of clear intentionality and how intentionality can be used to create our experiences, we will begin to see how it is possible and why it is said there is an intention for our incarnation. In any case, whenever we ask a question, there is the simple obvious answer. However, we need to look to see if that is the real answer and look deeper as to what is really happening. The analogy we can use to understand this process is to ask, "Why does the sun rise?" The obvious answer is that sun goes around the earth. However looking beyond the obvious and ask why does the sun go around the earth we discover the earth goes around the sun and the earth rotates. If we ask why does the earth rotate the way it does, we then need to look at the moon for it is what causes the earth to rotate at the rate it does. As we continue this process we begin to peal the onion and uncover a new layer of truth each time spiraling us back to another why and another journey and a deep truth. It is only when we de-focus stepping out of mind and how we think reality works and look separately at mind and heart dancing between the two views of creation do we being to see the real nature of reality beyond the illusion of mind that we have created. We begin to see that we are Consciousness/consciousness at play with Itself/itself in the way we chose to experience Our Self. To start the de-focusing process we need to begin to explore what we think and believe. One way to being to explore what we think and believe is found in the topic, "Belief and thinking inventory."
